依據財政部75年9月12日台財稅第7562563號函釋，經各縣、市政府社會局核准登記成立之『校友會』，可認屬合於所得稅法第11條第4項之團體。 校友得以個人名義捐贈於校友會，依所得稅法第17條規定，憑校友會出具之收據可作為個人綜合所得總額之列舉扣除額 。
